My current reading is in lots of different areas. Currently I'm reading Eleanor and Park on the ol' Kindle app (good moody YA so far), My Friend Dahmer (biographical graphic novel - loving it) in actual paper form, and recently have been poring through some informational text and beginning reader level. Check out the books here:

I just finished Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library and thought it was so much fun - a bit of Willy Wonka gets mixed up with Basil E. Frankweiler with and they play the Westing Game. The kid characters are held to a high standard of character and they have to USE a very modern library to successfully win a game with a fabulous prize. The actual library in the novel is every reader's/gamer's dream and I love that author Chris Grabenstein pays such homage to libraries and librarians. This would be a fun read aloud book before starting or during the course of a research project in grades 3-6. It's at about a 5th grade reading level.
Since I try to link to GoodReads in most blog postings, I have to say that I love how GoodReads connects not just to book stores but also to libraries to help users find books.
